California Family Foundation

The California Family Foundation was established in 1984 to provide support to families in the Belle Haven area of Menlo Park and East Palo Alto. A primary concern of the founders was to better the educational opportunities for children in those communities. After much consultation with experienced educators, administrators and other concerned members of the community, Beechwood School opened its doors in September 1986.

The California Family Foundation also helps families in those same geographical areas, work towards home ownership. The Below Market Rate Housing Program rents homes to families who have good credit, a growing income, are willing to perform community service every month and who want to be homeowners in 3 to 5 years.
