Dave Laurance, Principal

“Sometimes the children ask me, “How long are you going to work here, Mr. Laurance?” I tell them that this is where I plan to work for the rest of my career.
Beechwood is ideal for educators in so many ways. The parents are true partners with us in educating the children, the staff is unified in their purpose, the board is committed and trusting, the students are eager, respectful and appreciative.”
— Dave Laurance, Principal, Beechwood School

A Christmas Card from the Laurances – December 14, 2011

Laurances

This is our Christmas Card picture taken by the talented and generous photographer Lewis Hughes (you may know him as "Coach"). We will send this out to our friends and family, and since all of you are part of the Beechwood Family, I thought I would send it out to you as well; along with a message from each of us.

During the holidays it is a blessing to be with family and friends and to be joyous. At the same time, however, it is a time to think of those who may be struggling. I am so fortunate to be a part of the Beechwood community. A community that is empathetic and giving. As we head home for the holidays, let us remember those who are not able to be with their families, those who have experienced loss, those who are having financial difficulties and those who are lonely. More than that, if given the opportunity, let us reach out to these folks, to help them and comfort them in their time of need.
- Mr. L.

Beechwood is a great school. I hope everyone has a Happy Holidays. Thank you for letting my friend Lisa, her Dad and I, come to the Beechwood Thanksgiving Feast!
- Charlotte

As the holiday season approaches I am overcome with feelings of thankfulness. I am so grateful for my family, my friends and my health. I wish all of you at Beechwood a beautiful holiday season and I hope you all get the chance to enjoy great friends, family and food!
- Emily

I think Beechwood is the happiest school. Happy teachers, happy kids. Go Beechwood!

Sometimes I am not a good dog but I am cute so I will probably get presents anyway.
