The Beechwood community gathered on Thursday, February 19th to celebrate the construction of the second half of Beechwood School’s new campus. Stirring speeches from the principal, Mr. Laurance, and from Beechwood founder Dick Jacobsen, honored the hard work and consideration of the contractors, the flexibility and patience of the staff, students, and families, the generous contributions of donors, and the encouragement of community members that made the new campus possible. They reminded us that the purpose of the whole effort was for the wonderful Beechwood students who gathered to sing a rousing rendition of the Beechwood Song for those in attendance.

Breaking in the New Campus
The first half of our new campus is built and there is much rejoicing an the part of parents, students and teachers. The classrooms are roomy and designed for the latest technology. There are spacious outdoor areas for our students to run, play and explore. Beechwood appreciates the patience of its community as we wait for the completion of the project in 2015. We also appreciate the generous donors, skilled contractors and the City of Menlo Park, who are making all of this possible.
